Answer:

Given:

Time: 18 months =(6+6+6) months

*[What to find = entire loan?]

Solution :

For first six months :

Given:

P=Rs. 500,R=12% and T=6 months = \frac{1}{2}  \:  \: year

∴ Interest =

 \frac{5000 \times 12 \times 1}{2 \times 100}  = Rs. 300

And, Amount= Rs. 5000 + Rs. 300= Rs. 5300

Since money repaid =Rs. 1800

Balance = Rs. 5300- Rs. 1800= Rs. 3500

For second six months :

Given :

P=Rs. 3500, R=12% and T=  \frac{1}{2}  \: year

∴ Interest =

 \frac{35 \times 12 \times 1}{2 \times 100}  = Rs. 210

And, Amount =Rs. 3500+ Rs. 210 = Rs. 3710

Again, money repaid = Rs. 1800

Balance = Rs. 3710 - Rs. 1800 = Rs. 1910

For third six months :

Given :

P= Rs. 1910, R= 12% and T =  \frac{1}{2}  \: year

∴ Interest =

 \frac{1910 \times 12 \times 1}{2 \times 100}  = Rs. 114.60

And, Amount = Rs. 1910 + Rs. 114.60= Rs. 2024.60

Thus,the third payment to be made clear the entire loan is 2024.60

[Answer = Rs. 2024.60]
