Step-by-step explanation:

Given A manufacturer sells a wet grinder to a wholesaler for 2500. The wholesaler sells it  to a retailer at a profit of 500 and the retailer  sells it to a customer at a profit of 800 If the  GST charged is 12% find

(1) The amount of GST received by the  government on sale of this grinder.

  • A manufacturer sells a washing machine to wholesaler for Rs 2500
  • So GST is 12%
  • CGST = SGST = GST / 2
  •           = 12/2
  •           = 6%
  • So CGST = SGST = 6/100 x  2500
  •                 = Rs 150
  • Now the wholesaler sells at a profit of Rs 500
  • So amount will be 2500 + 500 = Rs 3000
  • So CGST= SGST = 6/100 x 3000
  •                = Rs 180
  • So The amount of GST received by the government on sale of this grinder = SGST received – Input tax credit
  •              = 180 – 150
  •               = Rs 30
