Answer:

Displacement is the vector drawn from the initial position to the final position, and its magnitude is equal to the shortest distance between the initial and final positions.

i. Hence, displacement is equal to the diameter of the circle = 2 R.

ii. As initial and final positions are same, i.e., displacement will be zero.

b; Distance is the length of the path travelled by the particle. Hence, distance traveled in case (i) will be equal to πR. Hence, distance traveled in case (ii) will be equal to 2πR

Answer:

a) Distance traveled displacement by the particle after completing one round(Ato A)

distance = circumference of circle

= 2πr

= 2×22/7×10

= 62.8m

displacement = 0 (because we start from A and end at A )

b). Distance traveled displacement by the particle after completing oneand a half round

distance = circumference of full circle + 1/2 of circumference of circle

= 2πr + πr

= 2×22/7×10 + 22/7×10

= 62.8 + 31.4

= 94.2 cm

displacement = full circle (A to A) + half circle (A to B)

= 0 + 2r

= 2×10

= 20cm

C. Distance traveled displacement by the particle after completing half round(AtoB)

distance = 1/2 of circumference of circle

= 1/2× 2πr

= πr

= 22/7×10

= 31.4cm

displacement = diameter of circle

= 2r

= 2×10

= 20cm

Hope it helps you :)
