5. A rectangular bahay-kubo with the dimension of 11m more than its width built
in a rectangular backyard. The area of the bahay kubo is 85m².​

Now we know that,

Area of rectangle (bahay kubo) = 85 m².

Area of rectangle = length X width

Area of rectangle = (x) X  (x + 11)

x^2 + 11x -85 = 0

Now here by using the quadratic equation formula we get,

x = \frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^2 -4ac} }{2a}

x = \frac{-11 +-\sqrt{11^{2}-4 X 1X(-85_) } }{2}

after solving we get,

x = 16.23 m

Now the other one (length) =  (x + 11) = 11 + 16.23 = 27.23

the width = x = 16.23 m
