Answer:

the cost of printing the border at 30 paise per 10 square centimeters. is 101250 paise

Step-by-step explanation:

To get the total cost of printing the border, we must get the area of the border.

We treat the saree as a rectangle with a path aroung it forming a small rectangle inside a big one.

The sides of the big rectangle is given by: L = (5m + (25 × 2)) = 5m + 0.5m = 5.5 m

Width = 1.25 m + 0.5 m = 1.75 m

Now:

The area of the inner rectangle = 5 m × 1.25 m = 6.25 m²

Area of the larger rectangle = 5.5 m × 1.75 m = 9.625 m²

The area of the border is given by:

Area = Area of larger rectangle - Area of smaller rectangle

= 9.625 m² - 6.25 m² = 3.375 m²

Convert this to square centimeters.

We have: 3.375 × 10000 = 33750 cm²

10 cm² = 30 paise

So, we have: 33750/10 × 30 = 101250 paise

Length = 5m

Breath = 1.3m

Area ( Outer ) = L × B

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 5 × 1.3 = 6.5m²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 6.5 × 100 × 100

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 65000 m.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Area of inner = L × B

⠀⠀⠀Length ( I ) = 5 - 50 = 4.50 × 100

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 450 cm.

⠀⠀⠀Breadth ( I ) = 1.3 - 50 = 80 × 100

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 80 cm.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A = L × B = 450 × 8

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 36000.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Area of Border = Outer area - Inner area

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 65000 - 36000

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 29000 cm².

Total cost = Area × Cost per cm²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 29000 \times  \frac{1}{2}

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= ₹2900 .
