Step-by-step explanation:

cost price of the article = 450

i) 20%above cost marked price = 450+20% = 540

iii) % of discount = (540-496.80)/100 = 92%

ie. 100-8= 92

Therefore discount % = 8%

540 - 8% = 496.8

i} Profit=20/100*450--------->Profit=Rs. 90

MP=CP+Profit---------->MP=450+90---------->MP=Rs. 540.

ii} SP=MP(100-D%)/100-------->SP=540*90/100--------->SP=Rs. 486.

iii} Discount=MP-SP---------->Discount=540-496.80---------->Discount=Rs. 43.20

Discount%=D/MP*100--------->Discount%=43.2/540*100

Discount%= 8%
