Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Perimeter of Square = Perimeter of Rectangle

  • Side (a) of the square = 60cm

  • Length (l) of the rectangle = 80cm

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Area of the Rectangle

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Now,

It is given that,

Perimeter of Square = Perimeter of Rectangle

So,

Perimeter of Square = 4a = 4× 60 = 240 cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b) = 240 cm

2(l + b) = 240

(l + b) = 240/2 = 120

80 + b = 120

b = 120 - 80 = 40

b = 40 cm

Now,

We know that,

Area of Rectangle = l × b

l × b = 80 × 40 = 3200 cm²

Mᴏʀᴇ Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀs :-

Square

  • Area = a²

  • Perimeter = 4a

Rectangle

  • Area = l × b

  • Perimeter = 2(l + b)
