Given :

  • Side of Square Plot = 100m
  • 3 layers of metal wire will be used to fence the square plot.

 \\

To Find :

  • Total length of wire needed to fence the plot 3 times.

 \\

Solution :

✰ As we know that, fencing is done on the boundary of the plot. So we have to find the perimeter of the Square plot and we know that Perimeter of square is given by 4 × side . After getting the perimeter, we will multiple it by 3 as 3 layers of the wire is needed.

⠀⠀

⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Perimeter of Plot = 4 × side

⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Perimeter of Plot = 4 × 100

⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Perimeter of Plot = 400m

⠀⠀

Now, Total Length of wire that is required to fence the plot 3 times is :

⟼⠀Total wire required = perimeter × 3

⠀⟼⠀Total wire required = 400 × 3

⠀⠀⟼⠀Total wire required = 1200m

Thus Total Length of wire required to fence the square plot 3 times is 1200m

Formulas Related to Square :

  • Perimeter = 4 × Side
  • Area = Side × Side
  • Side of Square = √Area
  • Diagonal = √2 × Side
  • Area = ½ × (Diagonal)²
  • Area = (Perimeter ÷ 4)²

Answer:

the given shape of land is square

side of square is given as 100 m

side to be fenced are 4

total wire required for one layer of fencing would be 4×100=400m

total wire required three layers of fencing would be 3×400=1200m
