if 375 like it, that means that 125 dont like it. Thus probability of picking a family who likes it is given by favorable outcomes/total outcomes= 375/500 = 0.75

and

probability of not liking it is 1- probability of liking it =

1 - 0.75= 0.25

or we can also find it directly by 125/500 = 1/4 = 0.25
