5. A Vendor bought a number of bananas at 6 for 5 rupees and sold at 4 for 3
rupees. Find his gain percent.​

CP of 6 bananas =5rs

CP off 1 banana= 5/6 rs.= 0.8333...

SP of 3 bananas= 4 rs

SP of 1 banana= 4/3 rs = 1.33....

Hence SP is greater than CP.

Hence their profit= SP - CP= 0.50 RS.

PROFIT %=(Profit / cp)×100

= (0.50/0.83)×100

= (50/83)×100

= 4150/100

= 41.5 %
