Because milk products get spolied quickly. Therefore milk products should be consumed within 24 hours. you can also see this kind of writing in sweets containing milk.

Grains should be sorted in dry container because moisture content may spoil them. As bacteria is attracted towards moisture.

By doing this we all are preservating milk and grains in different techniques.

keeping milk in fridge and avoiding bacterial contact is also a kind of preservating technique.
