Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Walked towards north = 200 + 300 = 500 m

Walked Towards South = 100 m

100 m South = - 100 m North

Net towards North Walked = 500 - 100

= 400 m

Walked towards West = 150 + 150 = 300 m

From original Position

400 m North  & 300 m West

Distance = √400² + 300²  = 500 m

Adesh is 500 m away from his house

Given:-

  • Adesh walked 200 m to North from his house
  • Then he turned through 90° and walked 150 m to West.
  • He turned through 90 and walked 300 m to North.
  • After some time, he again turned through 90° and walked 150 m to West
  • Then he turned through 90° to his left and walked 100 m to South.

ToFind:-

  • How far was he now from his house

Solution:-

★ Adesh walked towards north

  • 200 + 300 = 500m

★ Adesh walked towards south = 100 m

  • 100m south = -100m north

★ Net towards North walked

  • 500-100 = 400 m

★ Towards west,

  • 150 + 150 = 300

★ From orginal position,

  • 400m north & 300m west

Finding Distance,

→ √400² + 300²

→ 500m

Hence,

  • Adesh is 500m away from his home
