\large{\underline{\sf{\red{Find:\rightarrow}}}}

  • Speed in km/s

\large{\underline{\sf{\green{SoLution:\rightarrow}}}}

Distance covered by the satellite in 24 hours

  • \boxed{\sf{\red{s= 2 \pi r} }}

\sf{s=2\times 3.14\times 40000= 251200km}

Therefore speed of satellite,

  • \boxed{\bf{\pink{v= \dfrac{Distance\  travelled}{time}}}}

Put value in this formula we get,

\sf{v= \dfrac{251200}{24\times 60 \times 60}}

\sf{v= \dfrac{251200} {86400}= 0.29 }

\boxed{\green{\bigstar\underline{\bf{\therefore v= 2.9km/s \bigstar }}}}

Answer:

2.90km/s

Explanation:

Given :

  • Time(t) = 24h
  • Radius(r) = 40000km

To Find :

  • Speed in km/s

Solution :

Distance covered by the satellite => 2 × π × r

\sf{}\Rightarrow 2\times 3.14\times 40000

\sf{}\Rightarrow 251200 km

Time taken => 24h

=> 24 × 60 × 60

=> 86400 seconds

\sf{}We\ know\ Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}

Put thier values and solve it.

\sf{}\Rightarrow Speed=\dfrac{251200}{86400}

\sf{}\Rightarrow 2.90 km/s

Therefore,Speed is equal to 2.90km/s
