(a) 'Both’ refers to the two roads.

(b) The poet doubts his coming back because one path would lead to another path.

(c) The poet would like to come back to travel on the road not taken

i) Both refers to the PATHS which came is a challenging choice to take for the poet.

ii) Both equally lay expresses that both the paths looking the same with no crushed leaves. Basically, both the paths are FRESH and BOTH ARE LESS TRAVELLED.

iii) 2nd line :- equally lay in leaves and no step had trodden black means (as per poet's observations) BOTH THE PATHS ARE EQUALLY COVERED WITH LEAVES AND THEY ARE NOT TURNED INTO BLACK AS NOT MANY PEOPLE HAD STEPPED ON THEM.

iv) It's pretty similar to the 3rd answer ⇯.
