Answer:

1)If the Earth did not rotate, then the portion of the Earth facing the Sun would always experience day and would become extremely hot. The other half would remain in darkness and be freezing cold. Life would not be possible in such extreme conditions

2)Latitude is the measurement of distance north or south of the Equator. It is measured with 180 imaginary lines that form circles around the Earth east-west, parallel to the Equator. ... A circle of latitude is an imaginary ring linking all points sharing a parallel. The Equator is the line of 0 degrees latitude.2012, നവം 6

(1)At the Equator, the earth's rotational motion is at its fastest, about a thousand miles an hour. If that motion suddenly stopped, the momentum would send things flying eastward. Moving rocks and oceans would trigger earthquakes and tsunamis. The still-moving atmosphere would scour landscapes.

(2)Both longitude and latitude are angles measured with the center of the earth as an origin. ... A longitude is an angle from the prime merdian, measured to the east (longitudes to the west are negative). Latitudes measure an angle up from the equator (latitudes to the south are negative).

(3)To keep in tune with the Earth's orbit, the calendar needs to keep adding February 29 from time to time. A calendar is meant to correspond to the Earth's seasons. The year 2020 is a 'leap year', meaning the month of February will have 29 days instead of 28, and the total number of days will be 366 instead of 365.

(4)The inner planets, or terrestrial planets, are the four planets closest to the Sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Figure below shows the relative sizes of these four inner planets. This composite shows the relative sizes of the four inner planets. From left to right, they are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

(5)According to the Hindu scriptures, Uttarayan is the period when Sun travels from South to North which is also known as Makar Sankranti. Out of six seasons, three falls in this solstice that is winter, spring and summer. ... Also, it is said that Uttarayan is the period of day time for God and Dakshinayan is night for them
