Answer:

a)Camel is called the ship of the desert because it is the only mean or transport found in the desert.

b)These plants can live in these surroundings because the leaves are reduced to spines which helps the plants to lose a small amount of water also there is a outer layer of the plants which also helps them not to lose a large amount of water like normal plants loose in the process of transportation.

c)All organisms have to be sufficiently adapted to their surroundings to maintain homeostasis and properly grow and develop.

d)Organisms are classified into groups based on basic characteristics. Organisms within each group are further divided into smaller groups. The smaller groups are based on the larger groups.

Here's your answer

a) Camels are known as the ships of the desert mainly because of their physical characteristics which are well adapted to the conditions of the desert. ... Camels can even survive about a week without food and water using its fat storage. All these features make camels ideal for long trips through deserts.

b) Plants like cactus and acacia are able to survive in desert places because of the special features they contain. They have got needle like leaves which reduces the rate of transpiration rate hence plants are able to store the little water for a long period of time. They have got thick stems for storage of water

C) Ecology is the study of the interaction of organisms in an area with their environment. This interaction constitutes an overall adaptation of the organisms to their environment which also includes the continuity of species. However, the availability of organisms in an area is dependent on the type of environment.

d) Classification allows us to understand diversity better. It helps in the identification of living organisms as well as in understanding the diversity of living organisms. Classification helps us to learn about different kinds of plants and animals, their features, similarities and differences
