Hi friend here is ur answer

a) How is soil formed?

Soil minerals form the basis of soil. They are produced from rocks (parent material) through the processes of weathering and natural erosion. Water, wind, temperature change, gravity, chemical interaction, living organisms and pressure differences all help break down parent material.

b) How are dead leaves and insects useful to us ?

The tree naturally fertilizes itself with its own decaying leaves which fall beneath the tree. This leaves also help keep moisture in the surrounding ground. Something as simple as not having enough water in the dry season could cause the tree to be less healthy and become susceptible to invading insects.
