Find the area of the triangle formed by the lines x = 3, y = 4 and x = y.

Point of intersection for x=3 & x=y is (3,3), point of intersection for y=4 and x=y is (4,4) , point of intersection for x=3 and y=4 is (3,4).

Vertices of the triangle are (3,4),(3,3) and (4,4).

So it is a right angled triangle with sides 1,1 and √2.

area  = 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * 1 * 1 = 1/2 sq. units.

Option A is the answer.
