benefits of conserving land:-
Reducing air and water pollution Preserving open and green spaces Preserving fish and wildlife habitats, endangered species, and biodiversity Managing and protecting watersheds and wetlands Maintaining scenic landscapes and recreational amenities Preventing soil erosion and improving soil quality Reducing the negative impacts of flooding Improving resilience to drought and invasive species Helping to sequester greenhouse gases Protecting sustainable capacities to produce food and fiberLimit fragmentation or parcelization
The benefits of Water conservation are:
saving money, environment and energyprotecting the drinking water resourcesreduce or minimize the pollution and health problemsreduce the need for new waste water treatment facilitiessave the aquatic environmentsave the energy which is required for heat, treat and pumping the waterConserving water can also be helpful during emergency cases such as drought, water contamination or mechanical failures.
benefits of conserving forests:-
One benefit is that large forests, in addition to producing O2, are big CO2 sinks and therefore reduce greenhouse effects of CO2. Another is the benefit of giving habitat to wildlife and forest dwelling plants. Without habitat, protecting endangered species in zoos or parks is pointless. And another is the bounty that nature can produce when left up to its own devices (ie. better, hardier species, useful novel compounds from plants and animals, better food sources, beauty, etc.). It takes time and a large population (of numbers within individual species and numbers/diversity of species) for nature to do its best work. Forests with larger populations of species and containing a high diversity of species fare better in adversity because of the higher chance that there are individuals within the population that have traits which will allow them to adapt to new challenges and eventually repopulate the forest with better adapted organisms.
