Answer:

5. p=28500pa,

a=100cm=1metre( because we change unit into so unit)

formula of p=f/a

so, f=p*a

28500*1= 28500N

6. p =f/a

p= 50/10

p=5 pa

Given :-

  1. A pressure of 28500 Pa on an area of 100 cm²
  2. A boy weighs 50 N. The area of contact of his two feet is 10 cm2.

To find :-

  1. Magnitude of force required in Newton
  2. Pressure does boy exert on the ground if he stands on one foot

Solution :-

According to the first question

  • Pressure produced = 28500Pa

  • Area where pressure exerted = 100cm²

S.I unit of area is . So, convert cm² to by dividing 10000

1m² = 10000cm²

→ Area = 100/10000

→ Area = 0.01m²

Now, as we know that

→ Pressure = Force/Area

→ Force = Pressure × Area

Put the values of pressure and area

→ Force = 28500/0.01

→ Force = 2850000 N

Hence,

  • Magnitude of force is 2850000 N

Now, according to 2nd question

  • Force = 50 N

  • Area of contact of his two feet = 10 cm²

Convert cm² to m² by dividing 10000

→ Area = 10cm²

→ Area = 0.001

So,

→ Pressure = Force/Area

Put the values of force and area

→ Pressure = 50/0.001

→ Pressure = 50000 N

Hence,

  • Pressure does boy exert on the ground is 50000N
