Solving by cross multiplication

a2x+b2y+c2=0

⇒b1c2−b2c1x=c1a2−c2a1y

⇒3×(−1750)−2×(−2100)x=(−2100)×5−(−1750)×4y=4×2−5×31

⇒−1050x=−3500y=−

=−71

⇒x=150,y=500

So cost of one chair =Rs.150 and cost of one table =Rs.500
