Correct Question :-

Construct a ∆PQR in which, QR = 8 cm, PR = 6 cm and ∠R = 60°.

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment QR of 8 cm.
  • Next, take a protractor and keep it's mid-point on the point R and draw a ray measuring 60° from it.
  • Then, take a compass and measure it as 6 cm and keep it's tip on the point R and draw an arc on the ray.
  • Now, join the point Q to the point where the arc and the ray meets. Name it as point P.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

\dashrightarrow Instruments used :-

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and also the drawn lines should be straight.
  • Compass :- The compass is used to draw the arc on the ray by taking the measurements as per to the question.
  • Protractor :- The protractor is used to draw the rays of accurate degrees. It's also used to measure the angles.
