5. Construct a quadrilateral LMNO in which LN = LO = 6 cm, MN = 7.5 cm , MO
= 10 cm and NO = 5 cm. Measure the remaining side.

Given :  a quadrilateral LMNO in which LN = LO = 6 cm, MN = 7.5 cm , MO

= 10 cm and NO = 5 cm

To find : Construct a quadrilateral LMNO

Solution

Step 1 : Draw line segment LO  = 6 cm

Step 2 : Taking compass width = 6 cm and L as center draw an arc

Step 3 :  Taking Compass width = 5 cm and O as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at N

Step 4 : join ON

Step 5 : Taking compass width = 10 cm & O as center draw an arc

Step 6 : Taking Compass width 7.5 cm & N as center draw an arc  such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at M

Step 7 : join LM

Step 8 : join MN
