In democracy, the rights are given to all the people.... Like the right to education, right to equality etc and to ensure such rights several laws are also introduced.......it in no like dictatorship..... Bcoz in dictatorship only a single party has a power on the whole estate...... And their is a absence of opposition too...... But in democracy their is presence of opposition which obstructs the ruling party to become dictator......... Hence in democracy equality and justice is ensured....

Equality has a very critical role to play in democracy. It is even more critical with special reference to India, "world's largest democracy". The Constitution of India guarantees equality to all citizens. Despite this, the daily lives of people in India are far from equal. There may be political equality in the constitution of India but in the real life experiences, there are stark inequalities in the society, not just Indian but societies worldwide.
