ACUTE DISEASES-
▪ They are the diseases which last for short span of time.
▪ They do not cause long term bad effects on human health.
▪ Most of the infectious diseases come under acute diseases.
▪ examples: cholera, cough, typhoid, cold etc.

CHRONIC DISEASES-
▪ They are the diseases which last for a long time, even as much as a lifetime.
▪ These causes a drastic long term effect on human health.
▪ When the acute diseases are not taken off, then they slowly turns itself into chronic diseases.
▪ examples : tuberculosis, diabetes, elephantiasis, cancer etc.

1.Acute diseases:-
(i) They are short term disease.

(ii)Acute conditions are severe and sudden in onset. 

(iii)This could describe anything from a broken bone to an asthma attack.

(iv)An acute disease lasts for just a short time but can begin rapidly and have intense symptoms.

(v)Cold, influenza, Cholera, Typhoid, strep throat, cough, etc.

Chronic disease:-
(i) they are long term disease.

(ii)They are not sever. but they last. for two or more months.

(iii)A chroniccondition is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise long-lasting in its effects.

(iv)A chronic disease is persistent. It lasts for a long period of time and might recur.

(v)Cancer, Heart disease, kidney disease, Tuberculosis, Arthritis, Diabetes, etc.
