English core will provide you the basic knowledge of the language as well as English literature while English elective is a more specialized subject, i.e. if chosen you'll have to study about English language and it's literature in-depth.

English Elective: is the specific category of Language.

Differences between English Core and Elective;

  1.   English Core is mandatory part of language for everyone while Elective  is Selected part of English for a specific category.
  2. Core are the required while elective are not required sections.
  3. Core have many number of students while elective have few number of students
  4. Core can be taught by all instructors while elective are taught by one or specific instructor
  5. core are taught every time of the  term while electives are taught in specific periods ( not every term)
