2.Average height of greater Himalayas is about 6000 m where as lesser Himalayas have average height of 3000 metres above sea level.

The Greater Himalayas is the highest mountain range. These ranges are always covered with snow as they are higher to the sea level. Some of the highest Himalayan mountains height is around 8000m, which are Kanchenjunga and Nanga Parbat. Middle Himalaya is situated in the south of the Himadri.
