Bolsheviks :

  • Vladimir Lenin led this group. He thought that in repressive society like Tsarist Russia, party should be disciplined and control the number and quality of its members.
  • They were the group who conducted Russian Revolution.

Mensheviks :

  • Mensheviks were the minority group.
  • They thought that party should be open to all.
  • They didn't believe in revolution but wanted to bring changes through democratic means.
