Given :

Number of dogs = 5

Number of 3 cats = 3

To find : probability that there is one cat on each end = ?

Solution:

Since we need to put one cat on each end.

So, 2 cats will be fixed.

Number of remaining animals = 8-2 =6

So, Number of ways would be

6!\times 2!=1440

So, Probability that there is one cat on each end would be

\dfrac{1}{1440}
