Acharya Hemchandracharya(1089-1172), the great Jain Scholar, poet and polymath. Hemachandra was the courtier of both Kumarpala(1143-1172) and Siddhraj Jaisinh(1093-1143). Such was the kingdom of Solankis based on the principle of Ahimsa.
