3 financial: France debt aggravated by french involvement in the American revolution.
4 political: Louis 16 faced virulent opposition from provincial Parliament which where the spearheads of the privileged classes resistance to royal reforms .
5 economic : the deregulation of the grain market ,advocated by liberal economit's resulted in an increases in the bread prices..

i} Louis XVI was fond of waging wars and took active part in many wars. Consequently, the national debt increased beyond limit. He also spent a huge amount over the construction of the royal mansion at Versailles twelve miles away from Paris.
