Answer:

Metals: Na, Mg, Al

    Non-metals: P, S, Cl

(b) Metals like Na, Mg are towards left hand side of the periodic table while non-metals like S and Cl are on the right hand side.

(c) Si is a metalloid.

In the modern periodic table, metalloids form a zig - zag line which separates metals from non-metals and they exhibit properties of both metals and non-metals.
