Answer:

Conduction:- heat through solid travels by means of conduction only . The process of transfer of heat energy in solid with the actual movement of particles from their position is called conduction

Convection:- the phenomenon due to which particles of a medium move to the source of heat energy and then move away from it after absorbing heat energy is called convection

Radiation:- The process of phenomenon of heat transmission which does not require a material medium is called radiation.

Conduction-

Conduction is defined as the transfer of energy by physical contact of matter or particle.

EXAMPLES:

  • A lizard warming its belly on a rock.
  • Freezing of hand by touching the ice.
  • The heat from a stovetop transferring into a metal pot of water.
  • Heat from a light bulb.
  • Touching a hot seatbelt when you get into the car.

Convection-

The process by which energy is tranfered by movement of heated fluid such as air and water.

Example:

  • Formation of sea and land breezes.
  • Boiling of water.
  • Blood circulation in warm-blooded animals.
  • Cooling in refrigerator
  • Hot air pooper
  • Hot air balloon

Radiation -

The energy that travels from a sources and travels through sapce at the speed of light .

Example-

  • UV light from the sun
  • Sound waves from the stereo.
  • Electromagnetic radiation from your cell phone.
  • X-rays from the X- ray machine.
