The amount of 3-dimensional space something takes up is called volume. It's another name is capacity.

To find the volume of any cube then the formula is :
side \times side \times side =  {side}^{3}
To find the volume of any cuboid then the formula is :
length \times breadth \times height
For example :

When u want to fill up a bucket you fill the water in the volume of the bucket.
When u want to fill sand in a box you fill it in the volume of it.
Same is when u put water in a bottle and when u put salt in a container.
