Let two circles touching internally be C1 and C2

diameter are given

so diameter of C1 be D1=10cm

and for C2 be D2=6cm

then for finding there distance first we have to find the radius

For C1 = R1 as radii and for C2 = R2 be radii

( by radius formula)

R1=D1/2 and R2=D2/2

R1= 10/2 =5cm

R2=6/2=3cm

then for finding distance between centres of two circles touching internally ,we have to subtract small radii from big radii

therefore, R1–R2=5–3=2cm

therefore, 2cm is the distance between the centres of two circles touching internally
