Question:-

  • Find the length of minor arc of a circle with radius 6cm if angle of the sector is 60°. (Take it = 22/7)

\Large{\underbrace{\sf{\purple{Required\:Answer:}}}}

Given :

  • Radius (r)=6cm
  • Angleθ=60°

To Find :

  • length of minor arc of a circle=?

Knowledge Required :

  • length of the angle of arc\:{\sf{ θ= \dfrac{θ}{360}}} x 2πr

Solution :

➜length of the arc making angle θ

= (θ/360°)× 2π r

➜ length of the arc making angle 60°

= (60°/360°)×2•π•r

= (60°/360°)×2•π•6 cm

= (1/6)×12π cm

= 2× 22/7 cm (Take π = 22/7)

= 44/7 cm

= 6.2cm(approx)
