Circumference of a circle = 2πr

It is said to put the value of pi as 3.14

Circumference =314(Given)

Therefore,

314 = 2 πr

314 = 2 x 3.14 x r

314 = 6.28r

r = 314/6.28 = 50

therefore the radius is 50 cm

Given :

  • Circumference of circle is 46.2 cm².

To Find :

  • We have to find radius of the circle.

formula used :

{ \underline{\boxed{\pink{\bf{Circumference = 2 \pi r}}}}} \:   \:  \: \bigstar

Solution :

We know that,

  • circumference of circle = 2 π r

Now,

Putting Values :

 \\ \sf{  : \implies \: 314 = 2 \times 3.14 \times r} \\ \\

\sf{: \implies \: 314= 2 \times 314 \times \frac{r}{10 \cancel0} } \\ \\

\sf{: \implies \:31400 =  2\times 314 \times r } \\ \\

\sf{: \implies \:100 =  2\times r } \\ \\

\sf{: \implies \frac{100}{2}= r } \\ \\

\sf{: \implies \:50 cm = r } \\ \\

\sf{\red{: \implies \:r=50 cm }} \\ \\

therefore,

  • the radius is 50 cm
