compare  \: given  \: quadratic  \: equation \:  3x² - k√3 x + 4 =0

with \:  \:  ax² + bx + c = 0 ,

a = 3 , b = - k√3 , c = 4

according \:  \:  to  \: the \:  problem \:  \:   given ,

roots  \:  \: are \:  \:  equal .

b² = 4ac

( - k√3 )² = 4 × 3 × 4

k² × 3 = 4 ×3 × 4

k² = 4 × 4

k = √ 4 × 4

k = 4 or k = -4
