x = 70 °

y = 110°

Step-by-step explanation:

EAD + BAD = 180°

120° + BAD = 180°

BAD = 180°-120°

BAD = 60°

In ∆ ABD

BAD + ABD+ ADB = 180°

60° + x° + 50° = 180°

x°= 180°-110°

=70°

In ABC

BOTH LINES AB & AC are equal

So both angles ABC & ACB are also equal

So third angle BAC = 180°-140°=40°

from here , angle BAD = BAC+CAD

60° = 40°+ CAD

CAD = 20°

In ∆ACD

ACD+ADC+CAD=180°

y + 20° + 50° = 180°

y = 180°-70°

y = 110°
