Hii there,

◆ Answer - (4)

H - U = +3RT

◆ Explanation -

Combustion of propane takes place as -

C3H8(g) + 5 O2(g) ----> 3 CO2(g) + 4 H2O(l)

For this reaction,

∆n = n(prod) - n(react)

∆n = 3 - (1 + 5)

∆n = -3

According to thermodynamics,

H = U - P.∆V

H - U = -∆n.R.T

H - U = -(3) × R × T

H - U = 3RT

Thanks dear...

Answer:

-3RT is the answer!!

Explanation:

  • where you seen combustion.. first write the equation and then calculate the value of (Delta ng)
