Yes, excessive use of plastic is threat to environment because it cause pollution which is harmful for environment as well as human,animals and plants also.

when any animal eats plastic polythene or whatever it causes cancer in stomach of adapter animal .

when we burn plastic in open environment it produces gases like SO2 ,which is harmful for ozone and causes many diseases .
