Hi
Weight of the alloy = 5g
Weight of the copper = 15/4 g
Let the weight of the Nickle = x g
According to the problem given ,
x = 5 g - 15/4 g
x = ( 20 - 15 )/ 4
x = 5/4 g
Therefore ,
Weight of the Nickle = x = 5/4 g
Required ratio = ( Wt of Nickle)/(Wt of coppers )
= ( 5/4 g )/ ( 15/4 g )
= 5/15
= 1/3
= 1 : 3
I hope this helps you.
