5 grams of an alloy contains 3 whole 3/4 grams copper and the rest is nickel. Find the ratio
by weight of nickel​

Answer:

Weight of Alloy = 5 gm

Weight of Copper= 3 whole3/4 gm

Weight of nickle = 5 -15/4

(20 - 15 )/4 gm=5/4 gm

Ratio of the weight of nickle and copper

= Weight of Nickle/ Weight of Copper

Therefore, 5/4 ÷ 5/15 = 1/3 gm

Weight of nickle is = 1/3 gm
