➳ Volume of alcohol = 70ml

➳ Density of alcohol = 0.78 g/ml

To Find :

➳ Conc. of solution in terms of mass of solute by mass of solution.

Solution :

➢ Mass percentage is defined as : Amount of solute in grams present in 100g of solution.

Formula :

\bigstar\:\boxed{\bf{\%\dfrac{w}{W}=\dfrac{Mass\:of\:solute}{Total\:mass\:of\:solution}\times 100}}

Mass of alcohol :

➺ density = mass / volume

➺ 0.78 = mass / 70

➺ mass = 70 × 0.78

mass = 54.6 g

Mass percentage of solution :

⇒ %w/W = 5 × 100 / (5+54.6)

⇒ %w/W = 500/59.6

%w/W = 8.38%
