Let the breath (or) width of the garden be x m

Let the length of the garden be x+4 m

Given:

Perimeter to rectangle= 2(l+b)

Then half the perimeter will be (l+b)

According to the question

x+x+4=36

2x+4=36

2x=36-4

x=32/2

x=16m

width of the garden=16m

Length of the garden=16+4=20m
