(1) CONTAMINATION OF GROUNDWATER :-
Many wastes such as medicine , pesticides, etc... can sweep harmful chemicals into the soil. This can then reach to the groundwater and then contaminate it and make it harmful to use.

(2) LAND POLLUTION:-
Excessive dumping of non biodegradable waste can cause accumulation of these materials and hence cause land POLLUTION.

(3)DEATH OF MANY LIVING ORGANISMS:-
Non biodegradable waste found on the roads and lands can cause many organisms to choke to death. For example many cows which roam about may eat these plastics which get choked in the throat and cause death. Also aquatic life forms are effected as they get trapped in these wastes and hence die.

(4) REASON FOR SUFFERENCE OF NATURAL DISASTERS:-
When non biodegradable waste do not get disposed off correctly they accumulate and choke the drains. During natural disasters these choke drains do not allow excessive water to flow of and cause many problems.

(5)RELEASE OF HARMFUL GASES:-
When the non biodegradable waste are kept open, during the hot temperature they melt and release harmful chemicals and these chemical go and accumulate in the atmosphere. These cause many problems such as acid rains, ozone layer depletion etc....
