5 horses and 4 elephants can complete a task in 4 hours while 2 elephants can complete the same task in 10 hours. how many horses are required along woh 3 elephants to finish the same task twice in 10 hours?

Answer:

4(5H+4E) = 10(2E)

20H = 20E - 16E

20H = 4E

H/E = 1/5 (efficiency Ratio)

so, Total work = 10*2*5 = 100 unit.

Now This work is done by (3E+xH) in 10 hours .

so, efficiency of them per hour will be = 100/10 = 10

3E+xH = 10

3 +X = 10

X = 7 (Ans)
