FATS ARE FIRST EMULSIFIED BY BILE SALTS AND THE ACTED UPON BY LIPASE ALL THIS PROCESS TAKES PLACE IN SMALL INTESTINE

Firstly, fats are broken down into smaller globules by bile juice secreted by liver which is called emulsification.... Then they are digested into fatty acids by the lipase enzyme present in pancreatic juice... The entire process takes place in lumen of small intestine...
