Answer:

Burning of fuels emit out gases such as NO2 and SO2

When humans burn fossil fuels, sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) are released into the atmosphere. Those air pollutants react with water, oxygen, and other substances to form airborne sulfuric and nitric acid. Winds may spread these acidic compounds through the atmosphere and over hundreds of miles. When acid rain reaches Earth, it flows across the surface in runoff water, enters water systems, and sinks into the soil.Burning fossil fuels is a cause of global warming because when these fuels are burnt in complete combustion (sufficient oxygen) or incomplete combustion (insufficient oxygen) then the resultant gas Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Carbon monoxide (CO) is formed respectively. This gas traps the heat from the atmosphere from reaching into space and hence the temperature of the atmosphere increases causing Global Warming. In this sense, we can say indirectly that, Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide is a contributant gas in global warming.
