Area of tiles = 8cm × 5cm

No. of tiles needed = 400cm × 200cm

----------–—————

Here we are given that the length of tile is 8 cm and breadth is 5 cm

So, area of tile = 8 × 5

                        = 40 cm²

Also, the length of floor is 400 cm and breadth is 200 cm

Area of floor = 400 × 200

                     = 80000 cm²

Number of tiles required = area of floor / area of tile

                                       = 80000 / 40

                                      = 2000

Hence, 2000 tiles will be required to cover the entire floor.
